MTIBRS Standards

MTIBRS currently uses the 2023.0 version of the FBI's National Incident-Based Reporting System Technical Specifications (NIBRS). Listed below are specific Montana data elements/values, data submission specifications/format and offense code list for both NIBRS flat file submissions (allowed until 12/31/2025) and XML submissions.
