Message from the Executive Director

The MBCC is in the unique position to pull together the pieces of a very complex puzzle. Data is one of our best tools to create a cohesive big picture, which in turn lends itself to effective leadership around public safety and crime prevention in Montana.

The MBCC and its staff serve as a nonpartisan planning agency that provides leadership in the realms of crime prevention, public safety, victim services, and judicial efforts. The agency manages numerous state and federal funds which are sub-granted on a competitive basis to 250 –300 grantees statewide, providing the resources necessary to help community programs accomplish their goals. The MBCC staff also offers extensive services in support of technical assistance, data collection and analysis, resource development, and planning.

It is our goal that the MBCC’s website provides the resources, reports, links, and other tools for use by agencies, legislators, policymakers, researchers and educators through-out the state to help make Montana a safer and healthier place to live.

Montana Board of Crime Control
