The Annie E. Casey Foundation’s Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative (JDAI)

Eight core interconnected strategies that address the primary reasons why youth are unnecessarily or inappropriately detained form the basis for the JDAI philosophy.  JDAI sites must intentionally and effectively apply all core strategies in order to achieve maximum results in reduction of detention populations.  Click on this
