Technical Services Unit

The Technical Services Unit (TSU) is responsible for developing and maintaining the following data base information systems for MBCC:

• Montana/National Incident-Based Crime Reporting System (MTIBRS/NIBRS);
• Juvenile Detention Information System (JDRS);
• Juvenile Offenses Statistical Data (CAPS & JCATS);
• Grant Management Information System (GMIS);
• Grant Web-Based Information System (GWIS); and
• Law Enforcement Personnel Employee Web-Entry System (LEEWS).

Developing, updating and maintaining these systems requires considerable planning and programming. TSU is currently moving towards web-based on-line access for our Board members and on-line access to applications, reporting, and information retrieval services for our customers. Programming services are arranged through programmers approved by the state Information Technical Services Division.
