FAMILY OFFENSES, NONVIOLENT (Crimes against Persons or Society) Unlawful, nonviolent acts by a family member (or legal guardian) which threaten the physical, mental or economic well being or morals of another family member, and which are not classifiable as other types of offenses, such as Assault, Incest, Statutory Rape, etc. This includes abandonment; desertion; neglect; nonsupport; and nonviolent abuse and nonviolent cruelty to other family members; and the nonpayment of court-ordered alimony, as long as it is not considered to be contempt of court within the reporting jurisdiction.
