Tracie Small

    Tracie Small was raised on the Packs the Hat Ranch with her family in the Valley of the Chiefs area of Lodge Grass, Montana.

    After graduating from Lodge Grass High School in 1998, Tracie attended University Huron College in Huron, South Dakota, with two scholarships and Montana State University with one scholarship. She obtained an Applied Associates degree in Native American Studies, with honors at Little Big Horn College, Crow Agency, Montana.
    Currently Tracie is employed at the Crow Tribal Courts in the criminal department as clerk.

    Tracie is an enrolled member of the Crow (Apsaalooke) Tribe; in addition, her heritage includes Northern Cheyenne, Sioux, Hispanic, French, and Scotch Irish ancestry. She is descended from Chief Pretty Eagle, General Custer’s scouts Whiteman-Runs-Him and Mitch Bouyer, and immigrants who came from Texas and Illinois. With her husband Brandon and her children Caleb, Vivian, and Konner, Tracie has found prosperity in a balance of tribal tradition, spirituality, family life, and work ethic.
