Q. Where do I find an RFP?

A. RFP stands for Request for Proposal. It is the announcement and guidelines for application of funds granted to Montana. Here is our list of RFPs.

Q. Where do I find the Grant Adjustment Request form?

A. The Grant Adjustment Request Form is located under Forms in the Grants Section or at Grant Adjustment Request. The Grant Adjustment Request form is used to ask for a budget line item change on a grant. The adjusted amount is moved between line items and must zero balance. Example: You realize there were vacancy savings in personnel and the travel and per diem budget was short because of the rise in gas prices. You can request to have the vacancy savings in personnel transferred to travel to cover the shortage. All grant adjustment requests are subject to prior approval by the Montana Board of Crime Control (MBCC) and must be requested prior to the end of the grant period. The form can be downloaded and either filled out in word or hand written. Original signatures are required.

Q. Where do I find a Signature Page?

A. The Signature Page is located under Forms in the Grants Section or at Signature Page. New signatures are required whenever there is a change of a project director, financial officer or official budget representative. i.e. A new project director was hired after the previous project director retired. The new project director would complete Section B. Project Director, provide an original signature, write the grant number at the top of the page and mail the completed form to MBCC.

Q. Where do I find Crime Statistics?

A. Data submitted by Montana police departments and sheriff's offices is available through MTIBRS Online Reporting (MOR). It is an interactive database that takes full advantage of Montana’s Incident-Based Reporting System from 2005 to the most complete current year. It can be found under Crime Data in the Data Section or at MOR.
Data submitted from 1994 to 2004 is available by Year, County & Offense Category. It can be found under Crime Data in the Data Section or at Interactive Historical Crime Data.
Juvenile data is available by Year, County, Offense Category, Gender & Race. It can be found under Crime Data in the Data Section or at Interactive Juvenile Historical Crime Data. This data is collected by Montana juvenile probation offices, through the Montana Supreme Court.

Q. Where do I go to to submit Quarterly Reports?

A. Quarterly Narrative and Fiscal Reports can be found in the Grants Section under Online Application & Reporting or at Online Reporting.  Please note that quarterly narrative and fiscal reports are due the 5th calendar day after the end of the quarter.  Reports are due October 5, January 5, April 5, and July 5.

Q. Where do I find my User ID and Password for quarterly reporting?

A. The User ID and default Password are included in the award documentation.  If you have forgotten your Password click on the Forgot your Password? link at the bottom of the login page and a temporary password will be emailed to you.  If you are still unable to log in, call (406)444-3604 for assistance.
