Steve McArthur
Born and raised in Butte, Montana, Steve graduated from Butte Central High School in 1971. He attended Montana Tech in Butte and graduated from Montana State University in 1979 with a degree in sociology with an emphasis in criminal justice. Steve began working for Butte Pre–Release Center as a case manager in 1986, working with offenders transitioning back into the mainstream.
Steve’s current title is Director of Community Correctional Programs for Community Counseling and Correctional Services, Incorporated. (CCCS, Inc.) CCCS, Inc. is a private, not–for–profit entity that provides correctional programming, educational opportunities, and transitional services to adults and juveniles in both secure and non–secure facilities. Steve is responsible for program operations in four adult community–based programs in Montana and North Dakota. He has been with CCCS, Inc. for over 23 years.
In addition to his duties at CCCS, Inc., Steve also serves as the Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Port of Montana in Butte. He is a member of the Montana Correctional Association and the American Correctional Association.
